We have compiled a list of hound related resources which have all been tried and tested by members of our group. Most of the resources are local to Scarborough and the surrounding area but we have included a few online stores and useful websites too which come highly recommended. This one is a few miles away from Scarborough and is one which used regularly by our group members, including me and Barney. There are 2 huge fields, plenty of parking and nice areas to walk around after if you still have any energy left.

This one is based in Seamer they have a 35 meter square secure area perfect for zoomies. They also have a store where you can stock up on some tasty treats ( for the hounds of course ).

Dog Grooming
This is a family business run by Stephanie at Betton farm, East Ayton. She offers a teeth cleaning service as well as a full range of other grooming services. Our group are huge fans of her services. Barney has tested the facilities and he 100% approves.

Beautiful tags handmade in the UK. A lot of our hound friends are rocking one of these, Barney included. I think Ruby has one for every one of her collars, which is about 20+.

Comes highly recommended by members of the group. They sell handmade clothing, collars and leads. Barney purchased his Christmas PJ’s from here and our favourite fashound Ruby is also a big fan. They recently started selling 3D printed accessories too which are super cute.

About 12 miles away from Scarborough, this one looks really good, they have play equipment and massive high fences. Barney and friends have not visited this one as of yet.

Dog Walking & Boarding
Phil, his wife Kate and their Greyhound Merlin open up their home to hounds in need of a holiday, they come highly recommended and are fully insured so you know your hound will have the best care. They are based in Cloughton which is just outside of Scarborough.
Treats
This place is like doggy heaven. It’s a little local shop selling natural dog treats. Theres a huge variety of treats to choose from , think sweet shop vibes but for dogs! The owners are all really lovely too. My only complaint is that we don’t visit enough, because parking at that end of town is horrible.

Dog Walking & Boarding
Amy from Toe Beans walks a couple of local hounds and has attended some of our group walks so you can be sure she has plenty of hound experience. She also does house sittings and is fully insured.

This one is a bit further away near York but it’s a really wonderful experience for the hounds. It’s described as a woodland adventure for your dog. I visited recently with Barney and a few of his friends and they had a fab time. We recommend a 2 hour slot to make it worth while and take a picnic or snacks as theres no cafe.

They offer self-service dog grooming in Scarborough which is perfect for hounds that don’t like getting in the bath. Everything is provided and its open till around 8pm.
